The 44 Residential Housing Development which is part of the "Carlo Point Marina" has been approved.

The proposed Carlo Point Marina is located at Carlo Point which is 3 kilometres west of
Rainbow Beach, on the Inskip Peninsula and approximately 265 km north of Brisbane.

The proposed Carlo Point Marina has been designed so that it integrates with the existing
caravan park and does not interfere with existing marine infrastructure. The proposed
marina would also incorporate marine related commercial uses, amenities for marina users,
and a range of tourist accommodation, parking areas and parklands.

As the gateway to Fraser Island and the Great Sandy National Park, Carlo Point is a
popular tourist destination. The proposed development is expected to have a net benefit
