The molds for the Inspiration catamaran are available for hire. The owner/builder is now able to rent the molds to build their own Inspiration 11 catamaran. Full plans are supplied making it possible to build your own vessel for a fraction of the cost and considerably less effort and time than building a one-off vessel.

Time to allow to build the Inspiration 11.
The vessel can be laid-up either  by hand or by hiring GRP choppergun equipment.
Hull, the basic hull layup can be completed in 2 to 3 weeks by 2 people. This includes waxing the molds, gelcoating, GRP layup and joining.
Deck, the deck can be completed in 2 to 3 weeks by 2 people. This includes waxing the molds, gelcoating, GRP layup, also includes hatches etc.
Furniture, the inside furniture can be completed in 2 to 3 weeks by 1 person.
Bulkheads, the two main bulkheads can be installed in 1 week by 1 person.

The rental price of $12,000 including GST allows for 12 weeks construction in the molds, as well as the full set of plans. This gives ample time to complete the vessel to allow it to be removed from the molds.
A charge of $1000/week is charged if the vessel is not completed and out of the molds after 3 months.
The rental of the molds does not include the workshop rent, this is charged at $400/week including GST.
Therefore total cost for a 3 month period of construction is $16,800, which is a significant saving on the normal cost of buying a hull and deck for an 11 metre catamaran.
A charge of $400 for the workshop is payable whilst the vessel  remains in the factory.
